TERMS AND CONDITIONS
SUPER C BACK TO SCHOOL CHECKERS & SHOPRITE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Application and Promoters:
   Please read these competition terms and conditions (“Terms”) carefully. These Terms apply to all persons entering the Promotional Competition (the “Competition”) conducted by The Beverage Company (Pty) Ltd, situated at 20 Anvil Road, Isando, 1600 and Shoprite Checkers (Pty) Ltd, situated at the corner of William Dabbs Street and Old Paarl Road, Brackenfell, Western Cape (hereinafter referred to as the “Promoters”).
2. Terms:
   Instructions on how to enter this Competition including all rules, mechanics, procedures, directions and all prizes form part of these Terms. If you take part in this Competition, you expressly agree to be bound by these Terms and accept that the Promoters’ decision is final and shall be made in the Promoters’ sole, absolute and unfettered discretion, and that no correspondence will be entered into. Prizes are not negotiable, transferable, substitutable or exchangeable in any form.
3. Eligibility:
   The Competition is open to all citizens and legal residents of South Africa, and is open to all Xtra Savings card holders nationally, who have opted in to receive communication and who at the time of entering the Competition are over the age of 18 (eighteen) years and are in possession of a valid South African Identity Document and have a valid South African bank account (note: in the case of residents: participants/entrants must also have a valid passport and necessary residency permission) (“Entrants” or “Participants”). Persons excluded from entering the promotional competition are any person who is a director, member, partner, employee or agent of, or consultant (“Associates”) of the Promoters or any other person who directly or indirectly controls, is employed by or is controlled by the Promoters, and/or immediate family members of Associates, who are indirectly or directly connected to or employed by any party in the aforementioned capacities or relationships, their advertising agencies, manufacturers, distributors or bottlers of beverages/products (“Disqualified Persons”).
4. Competition Period:
   The Competition will commence on 12 January 2026 at 00:01 and will end on 08 February 2026 at 00:00 (“Promotional Period”).
5. Entry Requirements:
   1. In Store:
      Purchase any two (2) x 500ml Super C participating Glucose Drinks at any Checkers or Shoprite store nationwide and swipe your Xtra Savings card for automatic entry into the Competition; OR
   2. Checkers Sixty60:
      Visit the Checkers Sixty60 app or website and purchase any two (2) x 500ml Super C participating Glucose Drinks, ensuring that your Xtra Savings card is linked to your account/profile for automatic entry.
6. Participating Products:
   1. Any Super C Glucose Drink 500ml
7. Prizes:
   Participants who enter the Competition will automatically be entered into a draw and stand a chance to win the following prize:
   1. A share of R200 000.00 (two hundred thousand rand), comprising 400 (four hundred) Checkers or Shoprite vouchers valued at R500 (five hundred rand) each.
8. Winner Selection and Verification:
   1. There will be 400 (four hundred) winners in total, each receiving one (1) R500 Checkers or Shoprite voucher.
   2. Winners will be selected weekly by random draw by Shoprite Checkers or its representative from eligible Xtra Savings entries every Monday during the Competition Period. Digital vouchers will be sent via SMS to the mobile number linked to the winner’s Xtra Savings profile. The draw may be overseen by an independent accountant, registered auditor, attorney or advocate.
   3. Participants are responsible for ensuring that their Xtra Savings profile information, including their cell phone number, is correct at the time of entry. The Promoters will not be responsible for any SMS delivery failures caused by network issues, incorrect details or system restrictions. If a winner does not claim the prize or if details cannot be verified, the prize will be forfeited and a new winner drawn.
   4. Voucher codes will be sent via SMS and will be valid for use until 30 April 2026, subject to the standard Xtra Savings Terms and Conditions available at
      www.termsconditions.co.za.
   5. Participants may enter the Competition multiple times during the Promotional Period, provided that each entry is linked to a separate qualifying purchase, but may only win one (1) prize during the Promotional Period.
   6. Winners may be required to participate in an audit verification process and provide a copy of their Identity Document, proof of purchase and/or any other relevant documentation. Once verified, winners may be required to sign acceptance of prize and indemnity documentation.
   7. Eligible winners will have their prizes delivered by an authorised representative of the Promoters, where applicable.
   8. Winners should allow up to 6 (six) weeks for delivery of prizes, if applicable.
9. Image Rights and Publication:
   1. The names of prize winners may be published on the Promoters’ social media platforms and WhatsApp groups. By participating, entrants grant permission for such publication.
   2. Winners may be requested to appear in promotional media, subject to their right to decline participation.
   3. Entry Expenses:
      The Promoters will not be responsible for any additional expenses incurred by winners.
10. Intellectual Property:
    All intellectual property rights in competition content vest in the Promoters.
11. Transgressions:
    Any conduct contrary to these Terms or the spirit of the Competition may result in disqualification or banning from future promotions.
12. Cancellation and Amendment:
    The Promoters reserve the right to amend or cancel the Competition at any time, subject to applicable law.
13. Invalid Entries:
    Incomplete, incorrect, or fraudulent entries will be declared invalid.
14. Defects and Applicable Costs:
    The Promoters are not liable for defects in prizes. Ancillary costs are the responsibility of winners.
15. Limitation of Liability:
    Entrants indemnify the Promoters against any claims arising from participation in the Competition.
16. Technical Failures and Unauthorised Intervention:
    The Promoters are not liable for technical disruptions beyond their control.
17. Lost and Stolen Prizes:
    The Promoters will not replace prizes lost due to incorrect details, theft or fraud.
18. Non-Waiver of Terms:
    Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of rights.
19. Legal Compliance:
    Personal information may be retained for up to 3 (three) years in accordance with applicable laws.
20. Promoters’ Decision:
    Subject to the Consumer Protection Act, the Promoters’ decision is final.
21. Termination:
    The Promoters may terminate the Competition if required by law or regulation.
22. Severability:
    Invalid provisions shall not affect the remaining Terms.
23. Law and Jurisdiction:
    These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.

25. Endorsements:
    This Competition is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by any social media platform.
